The comet Holmes in that day has a visual brightness of about 3rd magnitude and coma diameter of 20arc minutes. The coma has occupied almost full flame of the first picture captured by f=1600mm prime focus. The comet has striking short dust tail in southwest direction, it looks like a bullet or a jerry fish.
The second image shows you the distribution of indistinct bluish ion tails. We can detect three or four stripes stretched in west and south directions like tentacles.
